My Cakes

Some people have asked me to put some pictures of some of my cakes that I have made on here so here they are. They are not the greatest but I am getting better, or at least I think so. I will start with some of the older ones to newer ones that I have done.

Welcome Back Michael

My brother Michael came home last night at about 8:00pm. Everyone yesterday was really excited we all had to keep busy to keep our minds off of it. We made a big sign to take to the airport and one to hang on my parents garage. We were all a bit shocked or at least I was when he finally came around the corner to walk the the doors at the airport.

He looks like a whole different person. I the past 2 years he has changed so much I almost didn't recognize him. He looked really good but he needs some meat back on him. He has been eating beans and rice for too long.

He has almost reached my dad's height or maybe he has. Anyway we sure are glad to have him back.

This is our family together again

Play time with Kids

Lately the kids have been having a lot of fun with sidewalk chalk so I took a picture of them and their beautiful drawings. They also got very messy, Bailey liked that (not really) she kept coming over to me saying hands, holding out her hands so I would wash them. I kept telling her to finish playing and then come wash. She finally said OK!

Aren't they lovely posers

Haircuts!

Bria has been begging me to cut her hair because every time we brush through it there are big knots in it or "snots" as she says it. So finally it was time, I wanted one as well so I decided that we could get one together. Poor Bailey got left out of the haircutting day but she had fun watching all of the hair fall onto the floor. The girl that cut our hair came to our house which was so nice because then I don't have to pack up kids and take them to have someone watch them. Anyway I had to go first because Bria was a little scared. This is how much hair we cut off between the two of us. It was quite a bit I cut off 2 inches and Bria cut off 4 1/2 inches.

This is our new hair cuts!

We love making cakes!

So my new hobby is making and decorating cakes. So Bria my 5 year old kept begging to make her own cake so finally I caved in and let her make her own. I had some left over frosting from a cake I had just made so I gave her some white frosting and some lime green frosting and said have fun. I put a big clump of lime green frosting on the top and she spread it all around the cake, then she wanted to put a flower on top so she took a flower cookie cutter and pushed it into the frosting. Then pulled it off and traced it with frosting. Then I showed her a few different things that she could do around the edges, she tried to make a shell shape or a wave shape whatever way you looked at it. So she tried to to both of those and it turned out pretty well just take a look yourself.

4th of July

For the 4th of July it started really early that morning. We went over to my parents and had a really good breakfast, then we decided that it was really hot outside so we all jumped in the pool and cooled off. The kids had a lot of fun jumping off the diving board and off the side. Bria is now jumping off the diving board with no water wings on anymore and poor Bailey my 2 year old she has to jump off with a ring around her waist and water wings on, but she is brave and goes under the water and does not come up screaming. Anyway, after swimming we all came home exhausted so we all took a nap. After we all woke up then we went over to the parents again and had sandwiches and got everything to take down to Ann Morrison Park to watch the big fireworks. We had our rice krispie treats and our 3D glasses, which by the way we all looked really cool in. Right before the fireworks started we had some sparklers that we had bought earlier that day and all the kids were waving them around. Then once the fireworks started Bailey kept saying they were "loud" and Bria loved them. I think everyone had fun and got really full with all the food. It turned out to be a fun but long day!
