We finally caved!

Bria has been begging us to get a puppy for the longest time now and we finally gave in and got a puppy. He was 9 weeks old when we got him. He is a shih tsu ( I think that is how you spell it). Dan wanted to name our first son Max but I convinced him to name the dog that and not his son so he wouldn't be made fun of. So we have a little puppy named Max. He is the cutest dog there is. I tell you what he is just like a little kid, he pees on the floor, he sticks everything is his mouth and chews on anything and everything he can find.

Bailey has been afraid of dogs for the longest time and now that we have him she carries him around all day long. Even when he is trying to escape her arms. The girls really love him.

Girls Slumber Party

The girls and I decided that we were going to have a slumber party in our living room and have popcorn and watch a movie. It got off to a late start but it was a lot of fun. We watched Bolt and had sleeping bags and popcorn galore! It was about 11:15 before the girls got to sleep and they still got up at 8:30!

Bailey's 3rd Birthday!

Bailey's birthday was the day before Easter this year, so the morning of her birthday we went to an Easter egg hunt. We went to one that my parents ward was having. It turned out to be fun and really fun for the girls. Bailey was unsure about it at first but then got the hang of it and got a lot of eggs. Then we came home and had a friend party and I made her cake. They had a talent show and played around and ate cupcakes. After that party she wanted to go to applebee's so we went there for a late lunch before the family party began. She got way too much stuff but she had a lot of fun. My baby is now 3 years old. Toothless!

Just to keep you updated Bria is on a role with the losing teeth thing. She now has 2 gone on the bottom and the top 2 are a little loose. Here before long she is going to have to eat runny foods because she won't have teeth left.

The end of the BINKI

We finally decided that Bailey needed to get rid of her binki so on Friday February 27, 2009 we told her that the binki fairy was going to come and take her binki's and give her some money. She was all for it so she went and got one her purses and put both of her binki's in it. She put it by the mickey mouse where she would put her binki everyday(so she couldn't reach them during the day). She went to bed for about a minute then decided that she wanted them back. We were not going to cave, so we listened to her until about 11:45 that night. In the end she is still without a binki and doing OK!

Bria's First Tooth!

Bria finally lost her first tooth on March 3, 2009. An historical day in her life. It had been lose for a week or so and we went over to Grandma and Grandpa VanZandt's house for dinner that night and Dan kept asking her if he could pull it out. She finally told him yes and within a few tugs with a napkin it came out. She only cried for a minute, she was so brave. I think that Dan was more excited than she was because he got to pull out his first tooth. The new tooth was already coming through so it was a good thing it came out. She was so excited for the tooth fairy to come she went to bed early just for that. She got $2.40 but only for the first tooth or at least that is what the tooth fairy told me. Now she has to work on her next one that is lose. It was her bottom right to her and the left one is coming out now.

McCall Winter Carnival 09'

Now that Dan is home we had the chance to do some family things. If you didn't know he was gone for almost 4 weeks in Canada working on a house. It was really cold there. We got to go to McCall for the winter carnival. It was a lot of fun. We saw all of the sculptors and walked around a lot. We went down on the lake and was walking over the water, I thought we were going to fall through especially when they were jumping on the ice. We got some hot chocolate and some ice cream as we were walking around to keep everyone happy. Most of the sculptors had to do with dragons and castles. Later we went sledding out at the golf course there and had a blast. Bria always wanted to go down by herself, what a brave little girl. On Saturday night they had a firework show to end the carnival it was pretty amazing for a little town firework display. They shot it over the lake and they glowed on the snow that was covering the lake.

New Year's 2009!

We had New Years at our house because we had our kids. We had a lot of fun, we had the Ashby's, Shawn's sister Jamie, Lindley's, and the Lee's over and most of the night we played rock band. We are very talented people might I add! The kids kept coming downstairs but I didn't really mind because then the later they were up the later they would sleep in. They watched some movies upstairs in our bed and played with some of there toys. We had so much food that we probably didn't even go through half of it. We all had some sparkling cider and everyone got a kiss for the new year. Hope it brings me good luck!

Happy 6th Birthday to Bria!

Bria turned 6 years old this year. That means that I am getting even older. She had a lot of fun. First on Saturday the 27th she had some of her friends over for a friend party, although I almost thought they weren't going to come because of the snow. They decorated princess crowns, had a fashion show because they all came dressed in there princess outfits, and we played a few games.

Then on Sunday the 28th her real birthday we had family and a few other friends come over and have cake and ice cream. She got way to many presents that I don't even know what to do with all of them. She loved everything. We gave her a pink scooter that she rode around in the house because of all the snow. She is really good on it.

The Rush is OVER!

It has been a while since I have posted anything because it seems that we have been running around like crazy. Our Christmas was a lot of fun and the kids loved what they got. Santa brought them a dollhouse and some other little fun things. They sit and rearrange all the different rooms and also hide the little pieces and then the other one has to find them. We did an italian theme dinner on Christmas Eve that was really good and I think I might have eaten a little too much. Then we came home that night opened our pajamas and watched the grinch and had hot chocolate. We finally had a white Christmas this year, it has been a long time

We also decorated gingerbread houses that was a lot of fun and a little hecktic(no idea how to spell that). Anyway, we went over to my parents house, it was actually my moms birthday but she wanted to decorate them so we did. It turned out pretty cute.
